As far as I know there was one town specifically from Vojvodina in what’s now Serbia, the town of Pivnice which had a synagogue that was destroyed during the war.
They were dragged all that way to this godless place? I didn’t realize people were brought from so far to Dachau. Looking it up, it would have taken at least a full day by train—my God. This is why we must not forget. Not ever.
